This page contains links to millions of public domain, mail-ware, donation-ware, card-ware, giftware, demos, freeware and shareware files for DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows '95-'98, Windows NT and MAC. These are normally noncommercial programs designed by individuals for use on home computers. Just remember to follow the rules in the documentation that comes with the program.

Here are some definitions:
Public Domain - Free to use and give to others.

Freeware - You are allowed to download and use this software FREE. Also free to give to others.

Mail-ware - You have to send the developer(s) a MESSAGE (by email or snail-mail).

Card-ware - You have to send the developer(s) a POSTCARD.

Donation-ware - You have to make a DONATION to an organization as stated in the documentation of the product.

Giftware - You are requested to send the developer(s) a GIFT.

Shareware (Try before you buy.) - You may download it free, and you may use it for a little while to evaluate it but if you decide to keep and use it, you are expected to send the developer(s) the amount of money demanded in the documentation or quit using the program.
